How does it work:
The Artisan is a high frequency and micro-current device that is used to produce heat in the client’s collagen fibers to cause shrinking and tightening of the skin. The constriction of skin cells is a procedure based on hydrolysis, which is the chemical break down of collagen due to the reaction with water. Therefore the cell is dehydrated and glycine, which is in the collagen fiber, is heated causing a tightening and remodeling effect.
The heat is produced from the skin tissue resisting the micro-current that is coming from Artisan. Taking away any inhibitors such as oil and makeup through the cleansing preparation and staying hydrated helps with keeping the heat controlled. In this controlled heating environment, the benefits of inducing cell damage will then in turn send fibroblast cells to make more collagen to replace the damaged cells. This process is also known as neocollagenesis, which results in more collagen cells being produced than without cell damage. Considering that cells have a 21day turnover rate, you will see plump skin, reversed signs of aging and having a more youthful glow even after the treatment(s).
